Ragging is a cognizable offence in the eyes of law. Pursuant to the supreme court order and DCI directions to curb the menace of ragging, anti - raging poster in Marathi and English are displayed in college premises near the entrance , hostels, mess, library and common room for the awareness and notice of the students. Names, telephone. numbers of authorities to be contacted in times of distress are also displayed and made available in college and hostel premises.

An ice breaking session was organized by members of SWA to introduce First years students to the seniors. Anti- ragging skit was performed during orientation programme for the first year students.

Regular night rounds and surprise rounds are conducted at the hostel by staff members to curb the menace of ragging. CCTV cameras are also installed at strategic places in the hostel.

An undertaking is signed by the students and parents at the time of admission for non- indulgence in ragging. However, this institute is ragging free and no case of ragging reported up till now.

The guidelines followed by anti-ragging committee are as follows:-
At the time admission every student is asked to furnish a character certificate from the institution where he or she has passed the qualifying examination. An undertaking is taken by student and parent at the time of admission to the institution mentioning that student/ward will not indulge in any kind of behavior or act that may constitute to ragging under clause 3 of the regulations.

The committee was very alert throughout the year. Regular night rounds are taken by staff members in hostels to keep strict vigilance over indulgence by the senior students. All committee members are vigilant to take cognizance of any complaint received from the students, or notice any act of ragging in and around college campus. Strict measures are taken in the form of fine, written apology, suspension from classes and letters to the parents of guilty students, even though complains not lodged against them by juniors. The senior students are forewarned of the consequences of ragging and measures for healthy interaction between fresher’s and seniors are being propagated. Fresher’s day is celebrated to make a healthy interaction between the fresher’s and seniors. Arrangements for meeting with all teacher incharge, wardens of boys and girls, arrangements for flying squad, separation of first year students were made to curb ragging.

However there are no complaints or incidence of ragging till now, neither in boys hostel nor in As practiced every year, this year also we are planning to arrange a sensitization program for the awareness of Anti-Ragging Act amongst the students with the help of Legal Cell of Nagpur District Bar as per MUHS directives.
